A return from a closed address
A controlled packet returns under a circulation address withdrawn in 2018. Its return sheet names an office that no longer receives correspondence.

01 / Receipt
At 09:40 on 17 February 2026, the receiving desk entered packet R-17 into the ordinary returns ledger. The covering sheet referred to the Orison Exchange Secretariat, circulation address withdrawn on 30 November 2018. The packet was delivered through the contracted forwarding service. The forwarding cover and delivery entry are retained together.
02 / Visible contents
The outer inventory listed eight enclosures. Seven were present. The return sheet carried the original circulation reference from the 2016 continuity-clause series and a later pencil direction: “Continue to hold for the office, not the occupant.” The direction had no signature or date. Receiving has recorded the words without assigning them to a sender.
03 / Disposition requested
The forwarding cover names Rell Storage Cooperative as the current account administrator. It does not identify who packed the return. The receiving desk has requested the original dispatch inventory, the address-withdrawal instruction, and the final release authority for the forwarding account. No final release authority was included in the packet.
04 / Custody
The seven enclosures were placed in documentary custody. They have not been added to a current technical specification. The empty position in the inventory remains position eight. The return was acknowledged to the forwarding service; no acknowledgment was issued on behalf of the former Secretariat.
